If your son/daughter is an applicant to the Class of 2020 and they have RECEIVED your appointment offer, you (parents only) are welcome to join the 2020 Parents Facebook Group found at:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/USCGA2020Parents/

Please understand that this group is for parents of appointed applicants only. All requests to join will be verified.

This is a great opportunity to network with other parents who are in your shoes. This will become monumentally important as we approach R-Day and Swab Summer.

2020 Applicants who have received Appointments also have their own Facebook Group. The link will be provided to you in your Appointment notification.

The Parent's pages for the Parent's Association, and for each year, are invaluable sources of communication. Watching out for each others kids, where the photo ops are, when are you in town. The parents become very close. I put two kids through civilian colleges before the third got into CGA. I've tried to explain to people the difference. I find it hard to believe that the parents at the Big Three get anywhere near this close either, in spite of the Sevice Academy atmosphere.

Parents page and CGA Family is the Best...Hubby and I are both retired Navy. Nothing like the support and already feeling part of the CGA Family. Go Bears Go class of 2020. Parents...Make sure you check into your local parents association. For us it is Delaware Valley and they are awesome. We will be meeting this weekend in Philly (our 2020 appointees too). DS made the right decision....
