When should I expect to hear back from West Point?

I've been reading everyones posts on getting "3Q'd", and getting their TWE, or getting appointments, but my portal doesn't show anything like that and hasn't been updated for a very long time. I haven't recieved anything in the mail, and I was wondering, when should I expect to get something from admissions?

If by chance I was offered an appointment to USMAPS, when would I hear about that?

I'm finding there is less info regarding the process for USMA than there was for USNA. Just breathing and waiting and going ahead with alternate plans ...

So may I ask. My son applied to West Point. He received a nomination and he has yet to hear anything. Will he hear back from West Point even if he is not chosen? Also, if he is chosen when should he expect to hear something? Thank you.

Im in the same boat. From what I've heard. It's mostly waiting around to hear if you've: 1) been pulled off the NWL or 2) are getting a TWE. I guess this wait could go all the way up until R Day.... It's killing me

The best thing to do is be patient. Appointments go out until the week leading up to R-Day, best thing to do is be hopeful. You've made it this far, if it doesn't work out this year then you can always work for next year.

I'm a parent of a West Point candidate. She submitted her CFA on the 27th of February (wanted to get her best score!) but had submitted everything else by January. There has been no change in her portal... How would she know if she is 3Q-ed? She attended SLE. and went to Girls State. Does that help? Is she even a contention, or should we accept that she hasn't gotten in?

Still waiting here in SoCal ... everything I've read is we're still in the waiting period.

@LibertyKid2020 The 3Q letter will be a PDF file on the left side of the home page of your portal. If you have a nomination, are medically qualified, passed the CFA, and have all green check marks on your overview page, then you just have to wait for a 3Q letter/appointment or TWE.

I thought we would be hearing something by the end of this month? Am I wrong with what I heard? My son received a nomination, is medically qualified thru Dobmerb and passed the physical test. I am Proud of him that he made it this far :) Good things come to those who wait! But jeepers as a Mom yesterday was too long.

Last year my son received a 3Q letter in his portal and then via snail mail. Same with the TWE.

I don't recall the exact dates but I don't believe my son received his TWE until mid to late April last year. I know it was after Easter becuase he learned of his ROTC scholarship while we were on Spring Break which was the week after Easter and it was a couple weeks after that.

Some prep school appointments have already been made.

Prep school appointment appears on portal just like USMA appointment. In most cases for prep school, admissions first determines you are NOT qualified academically for this year's class, but that with prep school you would likely be very competitive for next year's class.

USMA operates the same as all other parts of the army - "hurry up and wait".

Not all Candidates are notified they are 3Q'd - if you haven't received the TWE, assume you're still in the running. Keep going with other plans, but keep your fingers crossed. You've only ever failed after you've lost hope of succeeding.

I believe you are NWL'd if you don't receive an appointment early on, and aren't given a TWE.

If by chance I am on the NWL, what are my chances of being given an appointment to the USMAPS? From what I understand there are 150 NWL'd candidates, and there are are 200 spots for prep school. I know many of these spots are given to athletes, but hypothetically if there were 100 open spots for the USMAPS, would admission give those spots to the first 100 NWL'd candidates that said they would be interested in attending prep school for a year?
