Hi there... If your DD/DS has been appointed to USAFA Class of 2020 please join the FB page. Search USAFA Class of 2020 Parents. I am a part of the 2019 parents page and it helped me navigate through the last 7 months. I guess I will be back on the roller coaster now that DS has been appointed :). FYI, this is closed group so you will be asked to verify status before being accepted into the group.
 
We also have a couple of parents' FB pages if you would like to join us. The first is "My Life is Cadet Parent: USAFA Parents United". This is a hidden group so you won't find it if you try and search on FB. If you currently have a cadet at USAFA, or if your cadet has already received their appointment from USAFA, please send me a message on this forum and I'll explain how I can get you added to the gtoup. Lots of great information and parents.

The other group is named "USAFA Parent Resource". It's a closed group so you should be able to search and send a request to join this group.

We will review your FB page and verify that you're a parent of a cadet. One way for you to prove you have a cadet entering USAFA, is to post your son's / daughters's letter of acceptance from USAFA... If you have a cadet currently at USAFA, have LOTS of your cadet's photos on your FB page.

If you wish to join the USAFA Class of 2020 Parents group, click on the icon to join the group AND send the Admin a FB message to establish the contact for the verification process.
 
The USAFA Class of 2020 Parents Facebook group is growing nicely and everyone is getting to know each other and their DD/DS's journey so far. If your DD/DS has received their appointment letter please search for and request to join the group.

Hi, what information do you need from me to join this page? My daughter has received an appointment to USAFA. I am wondering if there is also a group for the appointees to join?
 
Hi Luch13 just search for the page USAFA class of 2020 and submit a request to join. The admin will then reach out to you and ask you to verify your DS appointment. Should not take long at all.

It is much easier now to join the Parents Class of 2020 FB page. If you go to the page, instructions will be right on the banner on how to join. Hope to see you there and congratulations to all the parents. Let the ride begin.

Hi USAFADAD2017. My DD got an appointment last week and I'd like to join the hidden FB group. I'm completely new to this and not sure if this is where I'm supposed to ask, so please be patient. Thank you!
 
We printed, filled out, and mailed in the form that was on DD's portal for the 2020 Parents Facebook. So, hopefully, this is the verification needed to join, once it is received.
I also printed out the information in this forum for DH to look through and try to join the other FB pages. He's the only one with a FB account between the two of us and would know how to search, join, etc.
I'm clueless when it comes to various social media outlets -- I avoid them -- EXCEPT this one. Really enjoy this forum and all the information from all the SA's and threads.

Capri, you must go to the USAFA Class of 2020 Parents FB page and request to join the group and send a copy of your candidate's appointment letter to the admin. Once that is verified, you will be added to the group. The directions are on the banner at the top of the page next to the photo of the interstate marker. Congratulations.

I just got accepted to the page. Requested last week. I did not have to send a picture of my appointment or anything.

Was this the 2020 Appointee FB or Parents FB?
 
I understand. jbusn mentioned he was accepted. He had replied to a slightly different thread where I asked about appointees, since my DD had requested to join the appointee FB and not heard anything yet.

Tell your DD to check her filtered messages on FB messenger. There is most likely a message there for with directions on how to join the group. She will most likely have to send proof of appointment.
