Rejected End of the Line

Just now. Email TWE. Thanks! Good luck to you too.

Thanks EOD/SEALmom. She just wanted to hear back from them one way or the other. I have another kid coming through the pipeline who's a sophomore and wants a SEAL slot out of USNA. How hard is that??? Probably VERY competitive. I just respect the SEAL/EOD community so much. I used to jump squares with EOD/SEALs at Elizabeth City Airport in VA.

USNA has more SEAL slots than NROTC and also has a higher success rate at BUDS. It always helps when you have 30+ folks to train with and SEALs on the yard helping out also. So if that is his dream, USNA is a great place to help achieve it.

I should probably look into changing my username....picked it in haste to ask a question on here, chosen because DD had aimed for EOD since she was 13 years and SEAL was announced to be open for females recently. Since finding this forum she's taken some turns...now heading into the Marine world. She's still looking for the hardest job she can aim for, though - been that way her whole life, lol!

Thanks Hoops. He's already training circuit in our yard (runs a mile, swims, and does "wet" pullups, repeat.. :)).

I'll bet you are SUPER proud!!!

My mama heart hurts for all of you receiving the TWE. My plebe daughter's boyfriend received one last year and I saw how hard it was for an exceptional kid and his family. He did not apply for a NROTC scholarship so he just joined them without it this year at RIT. He applied this year and got it and is loving it there. You all have great kids and they will make a difference wherever they go.
