Hi all:

We are headed to the USAFA for the appointee tour on April 8th. The paperwork states you must show a DL, proof of insurance and registration for your vehicle. I am renting a car and using my own car insurance from home. Should I just bring a copy of that card? Or should I have gotten rental insurance with the car? What about registration since its a rental?

Thanks

Security at the gate has only asked us for our driver's licenses in the many times we have been there, nothing else. I would just bring anything asked just in case.

We visited USAFA in October with a rental car. They looked at my DL and the car's rental agreement (which was in my name). We didn't take the rental car insurance either. I think as long as you have a photo ID and proper documentation for the rental car and you should be fine.

I always check the trunk prior to going thru the North Gate-just don't want to be "surprised" & try to explain to the Military Police what the previous renter left.o_O
