AROTC schools programs questions??

Both have decent programs. I'm guessing you plan to study Engineering, which begs the question why Clarkson is not on that list. Not sure if anyone from either program will pipe up, but I would recommend if you are trying to decide between the two you need to consider host (RIT) vs partner (RPI does their ROTC as part of the Sienna Battalion). I think both Battalions are about the same size. RIT used to have a pretty good Ranger Challenge team a few years ago. I don't think anything really set one apart from the other, so your decision probably should be based on the school and the fit. And if you want to consider Clarkson, which is definitely different from those two programs you know where to find me.

Can anyone give insight to RPI's ROTC program?
My son is an MSIII at Siena College. Siena, RPI and SUNY Albany comprise the Mohawk Battalion. He also goes to RPI on PT mornings to lead their PT (an effort to provide more integration between the 3 campuses). If you'd like him to contact your child/have your child contact him, send me a message and we can exchange emails. Also, I'm pretty sure there is at least 1 parent with a student at RPI on this board; you may want to do a search for him/her. If you are unable to find them, I can provide some general info about RPI and the environs. I grew up in Troy, took classes at RPI while in high school (granted, a long time ago), had RPI hockey season tickets for years, my cousin is the head swim coach, and I live about 20 minutes away now. I bet someone else can fill you in on RIT. Good luck!

Necroing a dead thread here, but if anyone has questions about Siena, RPI, UAlbany or Union College, I can answer them as well.
