Okay because another thread had diverted into which burger is best...5 Guys, In and Out, Whadda, etc.

Let's post the restaurant that is a MUST for your assignment. Place $ signs for a cost aspect.

DS had the Red Robin loyalty card when he was at USAFA. Red Robin is about a half mile from the south entrance to the base. I think he got a free burger about every month...
Hint: before ordering anything, always ask for a basket of fries

My Dad had his last dinner before his I-day at Red Robbin and wants to continue that tradition with me. I've never been to RR, but am definitely looking forward to it. My Mom (who grew up in Denver) wanted to take me and my little brother to Casa Bonita, but my Dad is afraid I might get food poisoning Lol. Thanks for the tip about the fries!

Yeah, Casa Bonita has kind of fallen off the last few decades... If you want some really good food I would suggest Colorado Mountain Brewery on Interquest Parkway, Dad can get a good brew there too, maybe start a new tradition!
 
One other thought; even though I LOVE the Buttface amber at CB and Potts, which is right outside the North gate of USAFA, I don't think the food is very good. How do you screw up chicken strips???

Ohhhhh. Yeah, I lived maybe a mile from this place. That was my Giant. I lived on Edsall, took the Blue Line Metro from Van Dorn. I really like the gyro place a few doors down from Savio's.

Now I live a little farther out.
 
10. Phantom Canyon Brewing Co, Colorado Springs, CO. $$

For those that come to the Springs for USAFA, I recommend venturing a little south towards downtown to hit a few of the good restaurants.
