Has anyone booked their hotel room yet? Wondering where everyone is staying? Springhill, Spa, Hampton or Holiday Inn?

Don't forget about your pets! I think Hampton Inn and Residence Inn Mystic accept pets.

I'm going to drop Alice off at mom's house on Saturday...just another thing to do that weekend!

We're at Springhill...nice and close, recent Reno, Marriott!

Be sure to ask for CGA rate if you haven't already. Not all, but many of them do offer discounted rate to CGA events. I believe there's a list of hotels that you can access on the USCGA.edu page.

Got the military rate of $98! We have to show the Acceptance letter upon check-in

Interesting how rooms are available at the same hotels via difft mediums. The Holiday Inn in New London is overpriced, we stayed there for our visit last year and at least it is convenient and it is a nice hotel. Anyway, I called and was told it was full except one king sized bed. Went online to the Holiday Inn website and was able to book a 2 Queen bed room for 4 nights. Still overpriced at $227/night for 4 nights, but interesting that I was able book it online but not direct on their reservation phone line!
I will later call and see if we can get a better USCG or Military rate for the room, but I doubt it....

If you are retired or active duty military you may consider the Navy Lodge in Groton. It's very nice. Newly remodeled and very inexpensive.

We were about to book flights and hotels for R day, but we were invited and later confirmed to the RISE program. Any others attending? It begins June 23. I believe it is only open to the first 50 families to accept.

We were invited too...40 minutes from the Academy. Sticking with the Holiday Inn..1 1/2 miles away

We were invited too! But since our home is about 45 mins away from CGA, DD wants to sleep in her own bed...I think reality is setting in and that clock is tickin!
