I just had to post our journey thru this whole process. It started last year when my DD won an AFROTC scholarship and went thru the DODmerb process. She first had a few remedials (expected). One turned into a DQ for a heart issue. After 2 months it was waived....YEAH! Fast forward to September. My DD hurt her back playing volleyball with her intramural team at school. She goes to doctor and they send her to physical therapist. AF won't let her participate in PT because she is under treatment with Physical Therapist (even though she was able to continue with VB the entire time). The PT finally clears her for all activity in January and gives note to the office. They send off to DODmerb. They want more information....send more information. They DQ about a month ago. Just find out today that they won't consider a waiver until July. They want her at least 6 months symptom free. The stress is starting to get to me!!! Her Captain tells her make sure you have a backup plan in case they disqualify her. I really hope a small back injury won't keep her from pursuing her dream.

So excited to announce they granted her waiver today!!! I just happen to check every day hoping something would change but did not expect anything until late July. Was pleasantly surprised today when it said waiver granted. Even her Captain was surprised it happened so soon.
