Hello all,

Back from my second spinal surgery since December. Had a few complications and am just now sitting upright enough, long enough, and step-down drugged enough, to read a little here.

Just wanted to congratulate all the new appointees, remind them of the beauty of bubble wrap, and for parents especially, RELAX. This is nothing compared to picking the colors for the wedding in four or seven or ten years. Yes, it's coming! Faster than you think.

Great that you are back. Hope the remaining healing goes well. Looking forward to picking the wedding colors.

Think about you always during this time of your life. Congrats to another grandson and can't wait to hear about your 1st grand daughter.

Fencer is right it comes faster than you think.

Wishing you a speedy recovery from here. Great to have you back.

Whoa! That is a lot to endure!! Take it easy and rest up

Welcome back FM! Wishing you the best in your recovery.

Welcome back. I hope you realize that even if you had been at 100%, the Steelers wouldn't have made the Super Bowl.

And, because God is so very good, Grandbaby #3 is on her way today, six weeks after her father's twin brother's #2 son (take a moment to work that out).

Living in the South I find myself wondering if this is how you became your own grandmother? I'm lost!!! :D

Try this one -- Two brothers marry two sisters (my paternal grandparents). The children, including my Dad, are then called "first double cousins". Believe it or not, my Dad and one of his cousins looked like twin brothers and were only four months apart. They even enlisted in the USAF together.

Unfortunately, they also both inherited the same heart issues of their fathers and passed away within about a year of each other in their mid 60s.

And guess where they were from?

Arkansas.

Congrats fencersmother, and I get it.;)

Congrats Fencer! Also, another story on strange relations, my Grandmother's brother and her daughter (my aunt) married a sister and a brother from another clan. Made a strange 1st/2nd or 3rd cousin deal on that side. Could never keep all that straight... and GO BRONCOS!!!
