I'm attending SLE in a week, and I'm hammering down my form for all the CFA events. I was confused about the form for the sit ups. Are they true sit ups? Or a variation? An explanation of the form would be appreciated (I can do 82 sit ups in the 2 minute time period)

They're just regular sit-ups. There's also a video on YouTube just search CFA events video in Google and it comes up with a step by step description of the CFA and how to perform the event with perfect form! Good luck, have fun, and Gooooooo Army!:)

They have recently changed sit up form, I believe. When I took it this past fall, it was more of a crunch motion, not the full APFT sit up. That's at least what the SFC who administered the test demonstrated and counted for me. It was very similar to the Marine crunch for their fitness test.

It's a crunch, not a full APFT sit up. Your arms are crossed over your chest, and your elbows must touch your knees without your hands coming off your chest.

That's the gist of it; there's a more in depth answer somewhere
