Hello All! I am visiting the Academy this month and will be meeting with the admissions counselor for my state. What should I talk to him about and what should I bring?

Bring a positive attitude, listen, be professional, and ask questions. Possible questions... Weakness in application, areas to improve in, strengths to build on, any specific questions on your application.

Good advice, thanks!

Read everything on the Academy Admissions website - every link, every drop-down menu. Ditto your nom sources websites. This will help you to avoid asking questions that the proactive candidate should already have the answers to. You can always ask a clarifying question: "I read X on the website. Just so I am clear, does that mean... Thank you."

Browse these forums for context, respecting the fact it is an unofficial site.

Treat every interaction - f2f, email, phone calls - as an opportunity to make a positive impression. Be courteous to any admin staff you encounter.
