Hello all,

I am a bit worried about my ACT scores. My math is a 26 and my English is a 21. I want to turn in my nomination packet in early to mid July, and I want to finish all the service academies applications before September. But the next ACT test is in September. Any advice on what is good for me? As well as, any tips for increasing my test scores, especially the English?

My suggestion is to take it again before submitting.

Get those scores up before your MOC applications/interviews, too. Depending where you live, your MOC may not even look at your app if scores don't meet their cut offs. I understand wanting to be early, but there's much to be said for a solid application as well. I will leave the advice of how to raise your scores to someone else. That's not my forte.

Hey man, I highly suggest getting a tutor I made 26 three times in a row, and then I had a tutor for two weeks and I went up to a 35. I did take two practice tests a day, but the tutor definitely helped. You're probably missing a few grammar rules like I was. Remember that you get what you put into it.

Thanks for the advice, I've tried to get a tutor but my family and I are on a bit of a budget right now. The main problem for me was the time limit, but I'll do a lot of practice tests from now until the next ACT test. Thanks for all of your advice.
