Candidate Activities Record

Not sure if I'm posting in the right place, so please let me know if I am.

Firstly, I'm a candidate applying for the class of 2021. I'm having a bit of trouble with my high school counselor about my Candidate Activities Record. She claims to have filled it out, but my portal hasn't been updated for days. I'm really concerned about whether or not she actually did it because I normally get an email confirmation as soon as a form is filled out on my behalf.

Normally I would contact my counselor directly and have this discussion with her rather than posting on here, but my school refuses to give me any of her contact information other than her work email address (which she rarely checks over the summer).

Is this an issue I should be worried about?

I would wait a week or two and then contact the Dean of your grade or principal depending on who.

For anyone out there, is the Candidate Activities Record a form that is submitted electronically? My counselor is telling me that it is "mailed", but every other form that has been filled out for me has been submitted electronically. I ask because I'm almost positive that I should have received an email from admissions as soon as the form was submitted

It is my understanding that the CAR is done electronically. Your counselor gets the email from Admissions to validate your CAR inputs.

Thanks so much for your response. This means that my counselor missed the link in her inbox and just swears she filled it out anyways.

If she no longer has the email contact your admissions counselor and they will resend the email to her.

All admissions documents are submitted electronically EXCEPT the transcript, which is snail mailed in. If CIS does not show a date for an application document, it was not properly submitted and received. Honestly, if you can't get in contact with her this summer...it isn't a big deal...just have it taken care of within the first or second week of school. You aren't at a significant disadvantage if almost everything else is completed by summer's end.
