Waiting on the first phone call this Sunday even though it's only 5 minutes. Looking at all the arm bands and crutches made me understand how difficult this process is. My hats off to the young men and women that are there now and previously.

I am anxious for that call as well. I haven't received any letters yet. Was hoping for SOMETHING by now. But this is what they signed up for. I almost don't like seeing the pictures; they look so tired. And the arm bands are so numerous!

Well, they're waking up at a little before 5AM every morning but bed time is 9:30 PM so they shouldn't be extremely tired. And its not like indoc is overly physical, especially with the new commandant not liking incentive training.

0500-2130 ... I wish my days were that short!

Funny thing is I remember my 1/C year thinking how I couldn't wait until graduation so I could sleep in every day and set my own schedule. Now I wax nostalgic about how easy it was at the Academy and how little responsibility I actually had.

That is nothing new. That's my point, I used to sleep till 0700 and I thought that was getting up so early that I couldn't wait till I got out and could REALLY sleep in. Now I'm up before 0500, at work well before 0700 and being a parent and homeowner I don't get to bed anywhere near 2130. The luxuries of indoc!

Hehehe, yeah. . . to avoid traffic, I get up much earlier than 5 and am in the office around 0530. . . . My kids are grown, so there is nap time involved before 2130. . . . when I am in the field, who knows what my schedule is.
