PE Teacher SOE

The rest of my portal opened up today, and I tried to get a ton of things done today. Then I hit a roadblock at the PE teacher SOE. I read through the forums of previous candidates, and I know about the homeschool problem. I took online PE as a sophomore for both semesters, and my "teacher" didn't really know me and online PE was basically me wearing a heart monitor and playing my sport and recording it....should I contact Admissions or just send the SOE request to the PE teacher?

DS portal still shows 15Aug to open up. Are you officially a USMA candidate ?
My portal originally said that it would begin evaluation and the earliest July 1, but it got moved to August 15 awhile ago. I called the sports coach there to ask a question, and he said that he would just call admissions right afterwards and tell them to open the portal up.

And so I checked a few minutes later, and the screen had changed to allow me to send teacher evals and send in my medical/CFA. Sorry for the confusion^. Does that make me an official USMA candidate?

Yup. It does sound like you are a USMA candidate. Congrats.

I'm will probably have this problem too. What happens if your PE teachers no longer work at the school and have gone off the radar or if you did online gym? Who should you get the evaluation from?

Similarly, I moved overseas and have no idea where my PE teacher is now. Is it possible to get this from a sports coach or anyone else? Also, is this necessary for college applicants?

West Point understands that there are some candidates that have no access to their PE teacher or that there are other circumstances that prevent them from getting a PE teacher to do their SOE.
If you fall in that category, contact your RC. They need to approve another source for you. It is possible that they may allow you to use a coach or your CFA administrator.
They REALLY want you to have a PE coach do it though, so only ask the RC if there is not a PE teacher for you to use.

@Ponchco235 - yes - all applicants need a PE SOE.
If you applied last year and didn't get in, you probably will be able to use the same PE SOE that you did last year.
If you are a first time applicant and are a college student, then you will need to do the PE SOE.
