I was an active kid and had proteinuria. I grew out of it in 2012. I am now about to schedule my DODMERB and was wondering if I should see the Nephrologist first and make sure I don't have it anymore so that I have proof when I walk into my DODMERB exam. Thanks

Current or a history of proteinuria is disqualifying if your levels were over 200, unless it's what is known as "Benign orthostatic proteinuria". Do you know your exact diagnosis or what your levels were?
Personally, since you have to answer "yes" to the question because you have a history of the condition, I wouldn't waste the time or money at this point, and wait to see what's required after the DoDmerb process.
Keep in mind, a DQ doesn't mean it won't be waivered. Let the process work and see what happens. Good luck!

I do not know my levels, but I believe my diagnosis was Benign Orthostatic Proteinuria
If that diagnosis is in your medical records you'll ultimately be fine. When you answer "yes" to the question, you'll have a chance to explain your answer. Indicate that diagnosis. They may issue you an administrative remedial asking you to provide a copy of the records, and if they concur, you shouldn't even need a waiver.

I have an appointment with my nephrologist on Monday in order to obtain the records before my DODMERB so I don't have any delay. Thank you so much for your help.
