Hello,
I am applying for the NROTC scholarship. I here great things about the program. I applied online, then did the paper work and turned it into the local recruiter to give to the recruiter. The only question I have is that it says that the my paper work (AFA, statement, and drug statement) is waiting to be progressed does this mean that it is missing. Also, is there any indication that I will get when my teachers or recommenders I put down send them in? For example, Naval Academy send emails saying that a recommendation has been turned in. Thank you in advance.
 
When you say progressed, I assume you meant processed. If anything on your NROTC online profile says "Waiting to be Processed" (or something like that), that means they have not received it yet.
 
How long has it been since you turned it in? If it has been 2 weeks it could be lost somewhere between the local recruiter, the NROTC recruiter and their inputting it into the system.

If it has been a while a polite email to your NROTC recruiter would be appropriate.
 
I called the HQ to explain the situation, and they said to call the local recruiter. I am planning to do so on Moday since the recruiters office is closed on Sunday's.
 
Have you already had your NROTC scholarship interview with one of the officers/NCO's? If not, generally the interview is done after you have submitted your application. Once you have had the interview, then the local scholarship recruiter will submit all the supplemental forms that you completed, along with the interview evaluation for final processing at the national level in preparation for the scholarship boards.
 
Does the teacher recommendations/evaluations have to be turned in as well? I did not have the interview. Is that something that is conducted around this time?
 
The teacher recommendations are turned in by the teachers themselves. The interview for me was done late last month. The first review board is at the beginning of September so I would hurry if I were you.

Yes. Have you spoken with the Navy Recruiting District NROTC Coordinator yet or just a local recruiter? If you have not spoken with the former, I suggest you call that office. The recruiter/coordinator will be arranging for one or more officer interviews, teacher recommendations, gathering transcripts, and ensuring that test scores are received from the testing agencies.
 
Who do I contact for the interview? The local recruiter or the NROTC coordinator? I was told that my recruiter, who coordinates with the coordinator, will be contacting me about the interview.
 
The recruiter you are working with on the application will her you get scheduled for an interview. The NROTC scholarship coordinator will typically coordinate the interview times with the officers giving them, and they may call you directly to find out your schedule. Bottom line, call your assigned scholarship recruiter if you need to know where you are in the process and what comes next.
 
I completed the online application and turned in my AFA and supplement forms. How long does it take to be scheduled an interview?
