While watching TV in our family room, I heard my daughter let out the loudest scream that I ever remembered....I ran into the den thinking something horrible had happened to find her jumping around the room...thru her tears she spit out she checked her portal (for the "x" time that day) and found that she had received an LOA. Barring anything unforeseeable, she will follow her older brother ('15) at USNA. Tonite we celebrate!!!

Same thing here ProundDad4. She just checked her CIS and it popped up on top "conditional offer of appointment/LOA" with a little congratulations message. No email, no change on DODMERB. One excited (and relieved) kid! Congrats to your daughter, and good luck with the nomination process.

Congrats to your daughter as well!! Hopefully, we will meet next July! What part of the county are you from?

Congrats! DS just checked, nothing for him yet but exciting news. So was it under application status?

Exciting news ! My daughter heads there this Thursday for Her visit, we are very interested in the parents program they will have for us. Congrats to the LOA young ladies!!!

Why does my portal still say "Complete pending review", when I know that I have already been reviewed? Is that just what it stays at until an appointment, LOA, or rejection?

Yes.

Wondering about that BFE for applicants with LOAs.....This is first I've heard of this. i had thought the BFE didn't get sent until a full appointment was extended (i.e., when all requirements were met, including the nomination). Is that correct?

Yes, and even if a candidate has a Prez nom, they may wait and see if s/he will also secure a MoC or other nom, among other reasons, before the final decision is made. Hang in there and best of luck!

Just a quick question, about what percentage of the class receives a LOA?

My son is Class of 2020. He received a presidential nomination, then an appointment, but was told to go to his MOC interview even though he already had an appointment.

How do you know you've already been reviewed?

If you don't mind me asking, when did your daughters have all their materials into USNA. That's is excluding dodmerb's section.

My daughter's last outstanding item was the BGO report, submitted in late August. All other material was submitted in June/July. Hope that helps.

My admissions counselor contacted me to clear something up in my application. He said they were reviewing me and just needed to confirm something. I already have everything, plus a JROTC nom, so I was just curious.

Same here. The last piece of her application was the BGO interview which was done about 4 weeks ago.
