I'm back on the forum- west cadet class of 2020. Here to answer ANY questions you have!

What were your academic statistics if you don't mind sharing and extracurricular resume? Nomination(s) won? CFA score? Any un-ordinary advice for admissions? Also, were you in a competitive district?

I just came back from my last class. So my class rank was 8 out of 516. I don't remember my gpa but it was either 4.2 or 4.3( admission values your class rank much more than gap). I took all honors and ap classes. Got a's pretty much all the time. I was captain of my football team, a bunch of varsity letters in that. I was in a bunch of clubs and I had leadership position in all, and roughly 200 hours of community service. I came from a competitive state but not a competitive state. My act and sat scores were well below the average but everything else made up for it. On my CFA, I maxed or got close to maxing everything else. My advice is so do all you can to strengthen yourself and don't lose hope. I was losing hope but look how things turned out!

Ask me anything!

My question is a little too general. You guys can ask me how life is here at West Point, beast barracks, etc. just keep on asking questions, that's why I came back to this forum. Exactly one year ago I was on this forum in your shoes!

Are you playing football or another sport? How are you managing the coursework and all the other activities? Thanks for taking time to give back on this forum...much appreciated.

I'm on company athletics so my sport isn't as demanding as corps squad. On average I get 3-4 sometimes 5 hours of homework a night which is a lot lol. Basically the way I manage my time is I made a calendar for each class ad what assignments are done when and when I have graded in class assignments. Basically don't fool around when you have "free" time. Crank out some homework or clean your room... Etc.

Managing your time is even more critical when you have a Thayer week like I do this week.
