I completed a NROTC Marine Option scholarship application 1-2 weeks ago, and received an email telling me to contact a Marine OSO to work on the rest of the application. I emailed the OSO immediately, and received no response. Today I received an email saying my NROTC application was withdrawn from consideration, something I did not request. Any idea what's going on, or who I should contact to find out?

Call the OSO directly or call the main Recruiting Station for your area (not the individual recruiters or RSS offices). Normally the RS handles the NROTC paperwork. In our state, the person responsible for coordinating the NROTC MO scholarship packets is the Executive Officer of the RS.

Important thing is to followup.

By contrast, in our area the OSO uses the local recruiting office to make sure things are squared away before he engages. But I agree - best course is to start at the top (OSO or main Recruiting Station) and get direction from them.
