This is getting real now!
DODMERB complete, application complete, letters of rec are in, etc. The BGO interview was the last hold out and now it is in! DS was so excited to see COMPLETE on there!

I *believe* he is 3Q- is that something one is actually told or do you assume based on grades/scores, fitness test results and passing medical?

At any rate, very exciting. It is not an easy road to wait, but nor was it easy to complete all the application steps.

Best of luck to all the hopefuls for 2021!

DD got a letter by snail mail that she was 3Q'd. It might be an email now or update on the candidate information page (technology marches on). Parents of her roommates said their daughter's at Stamford and University of Chicago had to jump through less hoops for admission to those schools. They were amazed at what she had to go through. Good Luck on the rest of the roller coaster.

He will not be told whether he is 3Q. You will now wait at "Complete Pending Review" until some action is taken by admissions on his application. I wouldn't assume anything. Settle in. What about nomination?

USNA will not tell you if you are 3Q. Some will ask their BGOs. I would not. It's not something they are supposed to discuss. Remember the scholastic Q is more encompassing than GPA and test scores and none of us know the 'magic formula to it.' I know USMA has in the past told candidates if they were 3Q, not sure on the others, but USNA does not.

I will add a little more emphasis...please do not ask your BGO, at all, about the Admissions Board (scholastic) qualification status...BGOs are not allowed (per direction from admissions) to provide this information.

Hopeful! He has interviewed with one, two more aren't at their close date yet for applications. Settling in for a long wait!

I definitely won't be asking anyone anything! Glad for this forum so I can find stuff like this out!
