Portal? What is it?

I was accepted into NASS this summer. I see people talking about candidate numbers and portals? What does this all mean?

Congrats! It means you are likely to receive an email from admissions in the future stating how to start/continue your application process. Check your spam/junk mail folder from time to time to make sure it doesn't get lost in your email program.

It's just where you go on the Academy web site to Log in, your candidate # will be your user name and you will set up a password. First Rule of Military life, Everything has to be called something different usually then changed to an acronym. Helps us all feel so much smarter!

Less than a year ago, I posted this thread wondering what a candidate number was... yesterday, I officially received my appointment for the class of 2021.
