I believe this is where I am suppose to ask my question. Hi, I've been thinking about joining ROTC for a while but couldn't make up my mind. I'm a double major in Computer Engineering/Science and my interest in last semesters IEEE South East Conf ended up over turning my interest in classes. I dedicated so much time into my chapters robot that I slaked in a few classes that I ended up withdrawing from (two in particular) in order to save my GPA. However, I failed to realize that the classes I dropped out of left me below the 67% requirement to apply for financial aid. Don't get me wrong my GPA is well above 3, however because of my lack of discipline I put myself into financial suspension. I have since taken the measures to reinstate my position, and am able to successfully appeal. My problem is that even though I can still receive the aid I cannot use it to pay this semesters tuition. I'm hoping that I can knock out two birds with one stone here and both join ROTC, and secure my financial situation. Is it possible? Should I talk to my university's recruitment officer about it or am I out of luck all together? Thank you in advance for any responses, and sorry if this is the wrong sub-forum to ask this question.
