Hello,

Anyone know the mileage reimbursement if you drive to USMA for R-Day?
Thanks
Shades

Last year gas was $4 a gallon at the time...I would assume the amount will change based on current costs. People I knew who drove were reimbursed substantially more than those of us who flew.

My son just received an "invitation to travel", a trip to West Point next week and the stated air fair is worth $450. If he travels by car, it will be reimbursed @ $.585 a mile, plus tolls. In our case that's about $72.00 more (without tolls) driving instead of flying.

Are you serious? $.585 a mile? That would mean if I drove there they would pay $239.85 for each full tank I use and it only takes around $25 to fill my car...

They use the IRS mileage reimbursement figure I believe.

The reimbursement must be filed by the New Cadet during beast. Please arrive with the mileage etc so you know what to file.
The reimbursement will be direct deposited in the New Cadet's account. It's up to Mom and Dad to get it back -.
Sorry!
