MA Senate interviews

Massachusetts seems to be later than the other states. Seems like so many other states have received nominations already. Am I wrong?
I agree... Massachusetts does seem to be the last ... You know what they say about that? "Save the best for Last"

Our current Plebe was nominated last year by Sen. Markey and Congressman Lynch. She did not hear back at all from Sen. Warren. No return phone calls, emails, etc. I heard she only interviews the top candidates-maybe true, maybe not. Our current second DD is interviewing with Sen.Markey and Congressman Lynch. No word from Sen. Warren's office.
Sen Warren seems to be shroud in secrecy with her process... Not everyone gets an interview with the Senators it seems so you don't get a chance to sell yourself or point out some stronger points if your application was weak. They get an awful lot, the Senators, but like someone else said- Massachusetts seems to cram it in near the end, so that would prevent their offices from getting to all apps...

DS had his interview with Kennedy, has heard from Markey's office but nothing from Warren.

Unlike the interview with our rep which was with 3 senior naval officers and lasted almost an hour, this was 15 minutes with a young staffer who I'm not sure even read her application. That said, she said that he was nice and told her that she had a very strong application and would hear within a month. Next is Warren next week.

She received the nom via snail mail. Last I checked, not on the portal. Unranked slate, so still only a one in ten shot. Fingers remain crossed. Interviewed with Warren's board today. 112 applications. They interviewed 40. So I guess the odds of appointment are 1%. Wow!

Congrats on her Nomination! My DS also received a nomination from his district. He was notified via a phone call on Christmas Eve. He did say it was on his portal as well.

Got a Nomination from Congressman Kennedy, was notified mid-December via a phone call. In line with Majordadnavy2021, Senator Warren's USMA board interviewed half of all those who applied. Warren has an interesting system where all the applicants for a single academy (since she only considers your top choice) are interviewed in rapid succession on the same day, with the USMA board consisting of two graduates who will keep your interview under 10 minutes. For Senator Markey on the other hand, the interview was with a single staffer, took about a half hour, and was much more conversational. Both senators said decisions will be available mid-January. Just though I would share for future reference :).

Our DS received a nomination from Rep. Kennedy on Dec. 19th, notified by phone call. He is applying to the USNA only.

Any word of any ma nominations?
Based on what I was told by the staffer that interview me, he said that they will begin releasing nominees towards the end of the month. As said by other people, MA senators seem to be last at submitting slates to the SAs. I'm from the 8th district and we are also still waiting to hear back from congressman Lynch. Hope you get goods news back.
