Daughter received LOA in October and interviewed with one senator and one congresswoman-other senator never responded to application. Received one "no" and are being strung out on congressional results. Promised before Christmas, then updated to early January and still no word. Anyone else out there experiencing the delay? Could this be a bad sign?

The slates aren't due until the end of January so they may still be sorting it out. I doubt they will tell anyone until they're ready to tell all. I guess all you can do is wait.

Thank you for the prompt reply. It's a hard walk to the mail box everyday for our girl. Appreciate your inputs and will hang tough!

Be sure to have your DD check her portal for updates. My DD received a nomination from our congressman on 12/16 according to the USNA portal but she hasn't as of yet received any correspondence from his office.

Thank you we have checked and nothing. The waiting is the hardest part after all of the work she has put into this. Congratulations to your daughter!

I'll be praying for your daughter. Check previous threads regarding LOA's and nominations. I recall reading about another hopeful recently with an LOA and no nomination and someone responded they should call all the congressmen in their state and ask for a nomination. I believe the young hopeful was successful after quite a few phone calls.

Good luck!

That was for USMMA where any congressman can nominate you. For USNA you must be nominated by your own Congressman or Senator.

If we are talking about the same thread, that was for applying to USMMA which has different rules. For USNA, the MoC you can apply to are your two senators in your state and your congressman for your district.

Edit: cross posting with Kinnem.

Just heard that DD received her Congressional Nomination and there are no outstanding items on her application! What a wild ride this has been. Thank you to all the responded offering good thoughts and advice!

Congrats!
Did she get her offer of appointment as well?
