I sent my ticket (speeding ticket) to USMA last week. How bad will it look that I did not go to traffic school? I have a nomination and LOE, and am very worried that it will negatively impact me. I have no excuse for not going to traffic school, and regret it badly.

I can't imagine that going or not going to traffic school is going to have any impact. You have to report the ticket regardless. It the ticket that is the issue, and that should not be a big deal as long as it is reported as you did.

Dude, you're gonna be fine. A speeding ticket will not preclude you from recieveing and appointment.

Agree with above posters. However, by "traffic school" do you mean the 8 hour defensive driving course which results in driver violation points reduction? If it doesn't, you should attend this class for several reasons: driver's education, insurance rate reduction, & lastly, the class completion shows your SA that you are motivated to correct/learn from mistakes. They are offered on weekends.

In some states, traffic school saves you money by reducing the impact on your insurance premiums. It does NOT strike the violation from your LEGAL record.

All that the Army wants is that you resolve your traffic violation legally and promptly without impairment. In other words, paying the fine on time and staying out of future trouble should be okay. It is highly unlikely that USMA admissions cares a darn over traffic school.

How much was the fine? There is a dollar amount below which it is no problem at all. If I recall correctly the cutoff is $250, but I'm not sure about that.
