DS has never been vaccinated and will be starting them tomorrow. I cannot seem to find what is actually required for admittance, or at least to have them started before R-Day. Does anyone have this info? Also tried call WP multiple times and could not get a live nurse. Thanks!

While looking for official sources, I came across this - unofficial - but it mirrors what I recall from my active duty time:

I was using "Army officer accession programs required immunizations" in my search string. USMA is an officer accession point.

On reporting in, one of the stops is bound to be the table where immunization records are reviewed and needed shots administered. No one likes doing push-ups with sore arms, so getting some basics done in advance will help.

More phone numbers to try:

Not only all the standard vaccinations (you could say to your pediatrician "get him up to date."), but you need the adult polio booster and varicella. There's one other one that the docs argued with...but it currently escapes me. You are smart to do this now....18 years worth of vaccines is a lot to deal with in a short time.

Actually...I think you need to speak w/ Deb Dalton, the parent liaison. She may have a better number for you to use to reach someone w/ the medical department. Debra.Dalton@usma.edu.

My son always got his immunizations, but on R-day they gave him more. Cant tell you what he got, but one of the stages of R-day was shots. I assume they give whatever is needed. I think son had to submit something from Dr's office saying what he was current with.

It may be the different versions of the hepatitis vaccines.

The vaccination requirements are very specific and will be in the portal as one of the requirements. USMA requirement exceed what is normally given. The attached form shows what was required last year.

Thank you everyone-great help. He received 3 vaccines today and will get a few more in the upcoming months.

This first phone number got a nurse on the line, she was able to give me the correct information.

How close was the above list? My son is traveling to Thailand in April to visit an exchange student friend for a few weeks so his vaccines are being updated as needed currently. He turns 18 in a couple weeks so he is waiting until after his birthday to do any updates.

Thanks!
