DD just received updated status and correspondence on her DodMERB account. Under her status it states....13FEB17 Date letter sent - Remedial Code R252.90.....No action required by you at this time. PLEASE DO NOT CALL OR EMAIL DODMERB, your file is currently being reviewed for quality, your status will be updated shortly. (sounds like the 'ole "don't call us, we'll call you code").

Under her correspondence tab, there is a file referenced and letter code...L213 Remedial(s) with clin Remedial(s).

It sounds like they may want more information. But, we just sent an orthopedic questionnaire last week for a slight toe fracture two years ago of which it has healed completely and life was back to normal after six weeks.

So, maybe they found something new to inquire about? If they are playing mind games, they sure are good at it!

The remedial code R252.90 is "DOES NOT REQUIRE A PHYSICIAN'S APPOINTMENT: Please complete the form at this link: https://dodmerb.tricare.osd.mil/MiscMenuItems/Docs/Questionnaires/OrthopedicInjuryQuestionnaire.pdf REGARDING $ $$ . You may answer these questions yourself. You do not need to see your physician or return to the examining facility. The form cannot be electronically signed, please complete, sign in pen, and return the form via mail, email, or fax." Which you have already complied with.

Codes starting with "R" are remedials, "D" are disqualification codes. There is no list of correspondence codes that I could find, but one could assume that "L" is for letter and it is referring to either the letter they sent you or the receipt of the questionnaire.

Sorry, my glasses failed me again....the code is R252.20. I guess they are mailing me a letter, but I don't understand why we can't call or email for clarification......

Wait for the letter, do what they tell you. There is no way to speed up the process.
Once you get the letter you can call with questions.

Thank you, and yes, speeding up the process would be nice, but trust in the unknown is a skill we are still working on.....

That is the code for the headache questionnaire.

DOES NOT REQUIRE A PHYSICIAN'S APPOINTMENT: Please provide a detailed history of all occurrences of headaches, to date, on form at this link: https://dodmerb.tricare.osd.mil/MiscMenuItems/Docs/Questionnaires/HeadachesQuestionnaire.pdf . You may answer these questions yourself. You do not need to see your physician or return to the examining facility. The form cannot be electronically signed, please complete, sign in pen, and return the form via mail, email, or fax.

Make sure you use black pen. I know when I did my DoDMERB exam that the physician used blue ink and it took two weeks to get it fixed.
