Does anyone know the official deadline date to have everything finished online in the West Point portal for the class of 2021?

Does that mean finishing everything on February 28th is acceptable?
My RC told me that you do not need to be medically qualified by the deadline. Only the actually application must be complete.

So if i submit my personal statement on Feb 28th that would be fine then?

I think last year they took ACT scores after the deadline. Though I remember reading that on posts, but not positive.

I believe they will take improved test scores if there were taken before the deadline.

Last year there were many snow storms in the east so SAT and ACT Scores were accepted after date

One of my friend's sons just did his interview earlier today...sliding in right on time to finish strong.

Everything that you are responsible to complete is due by the 28th. If you are in the medical process, you will be allowed to complete if you are competitive. I would not wait until the last day or hour to submit things that can be completed before. The last few days should be finishing up things that were outside of your direct control and following up to make sure they get done correctly. Submitting your candidate statements during the last hour or two does not reflect well on your individual initiative and will not help the admission process. You are competing against individuals that have had these things for many months.

I am with USMA 1994 on this one...for the guy with the statements...are you waiting for feedback? Why not submit them today? What if the power goes out where you live or the internet--we had that here for three days last week after a sudden windstorm? What if the portal goes down? If you are this close to the end. FINISH. Same with my dear friend whose son did his interview today. I know that my heart was aching when USMA did the 500 acceptance mailing in January--and my own #3 had not yet completed his USMA application. In Army talk, five minute early is late. Don't wait until the deadline.

LOL. I would have said draggin' his a-- across the finish line, but that's just me.

Kinnem, the mom is one of my friends...so I cannot say what I feel in my little heart--which is something akin to "You have done this before/how did you let this happen?" I am sure the deadline is a deadline for a reason--but really, the portals opened in July/August--while there might be some late revelations most of the kids did not wake up in January and say, "Oh, West Point sounds good." But you know, fingers crossed, prayers said for all--and for the betterment and future security of the Nation.

If you get it all done today, you won't need to worry about it. That was how I went about everything.

When would the deadline for medical completion be, then?
I don't know of a specific cutoff date - at least I have not heard one. It depends on the strength of the candidate; they will not hold up other appointments waiting on a candidate that is unlikely to get an appointment.

I know of waivers granted in April. Assuming the cases I am familiar with are not the tail end of the distribution, you might project that a strong candidate could get final medical clearance in May.

@AJ1234 Have you completed everything else except your statements? Typically, your release to DODMERB is tied to having your statements submitted.
