Thank you, it is a blessing and she is very humbled to possibly have the choice! Fingers crossed we all hear good news soon.Congratulations!!! Awesome news that she has noms for all three. I'll looking for a post on the appointment thread from you hopefully! And of course, I'm partial and hope your DS picks USNA!!! [emoji572]️
It sure does!!! Thank youAwesome!! I can attest that the sun seems just a bit brighter today doesn't it. As Navy92 said earlier, the real wait begins now! Congratulations!
Thank you, I know it is just the last hurdle to jump before the long wait to appointments (that may not come this time around), but I am so proud of her and how hard she has worked toward her goal. One of many proud mama moments. I appreciate you sharing your son's story, congratulations to him!CONGRATULATIONS Teragram!!! I remember when my son who is a prior got the news from his commander that he had been accepted to the AFAprep. He was stationed at Eglin last April (after we had already started plan B) and had worked the night shift. He was sound asleep when he got the call to be across base in 15 minutes at the auditorium. He threw on his uniform, flew across base, and walked into the back of a packed auditorium while they were giving out various awards. He had no idea. At the very end, his commander called him up on stage and said he noticed he was a few minutes late. The commander handed him his cell phone and asked him to read the email that was on it in his most commanding voice. He thought it might be about tardiness. He started reading the email that said "Congratulations to Airman Smith on his acceptance into the Air Force Academy Preparatory school." He choked up and stopped reading and the whole auditorium gave him a standing ovation. A very special time and someone got the whole thing on video. I cry every time I see it. He called me right after and I was driving and had to pull over to scream out loud. Yes, I very well remember the sun shining a bit brighter that day. And now we wait again hopefully for more sunshine.
It's not that they aren't allowed to double nominate, they do their best not to for same academy. Congratulations!I'm in TN-08, I got my nomination from there around November, and I also got one from the Auburn NROTC unit. However, I got one from Senator Alexander, and it was to my understanding that getting two noms from two different congressmen isn't allowed. Does anyone know anything on this?

Like I said they are allowed to do that, they just try not to. I would say you are a strong candidate if you received both so good luck on receiving an appointment! But all those noms are to USNA
i am glad they were forthcoming with this information. No 2 on the list is still a pretty good number!DD just got email from RC and looks like she is #2 on her congressional slate and waiting to see if candidate offered appointment accepts before they can make an offer to her for this spot On one hand we now know where she stands, but still excruciating to know the wait will be maybe much longer.
