Have to get a waiver for a concussion. Just was reported. Anyone know the timeline for it at this point in the game? Should I be worried? If I'm not having any issues, symptom free, etc., will that typically make it quicker since it's not as serious? Does it just need to be in before R day or a cut off date before that? Thanks

My waiver just got approved on March 10 for a dental disqualification, first remedial was sent back 13th of September and was DQd December 6. They should be rolling out more and more over the next couple of weeks from what I have heard.

How did you receive your notification of the waiver approval? Was it a status change on the DODMERB portal or an email from the SA?

Are you a USMA applicant? When was your last concussions and the last date of symptoms? When were you cleared by a doctor? These answers will affect on your ability to get a waiver. If they were in the past year, your chances of getting a concussion waiver a probably slim. However, you will potentially be able to get one once more time has passed.

I got it in January of this year. I am appointed. I had very minor headaches for maybe a day and that was it. Nothing major, but is diagnosed. DoDMERB hasn't reported anything yet so waiting to see if I'm dq'd remedial etc

Good luck with the waiver. They tend to be harder to get, the shorter the time span since the concussion.

Thanks. Hopefully I won't need an actual waiver. I guess I jumped to conclusions there as I haven't been DQ'd or anything as of yet. Hoping that given my lack of symptoms it'll just be a quick, simple, easy remedial

My portal updated with the required actions stating "Medical qualification" or something along those lines, it then changed to "none". Days later my DODMERB portal updated saying waiver approved.
