Any cadets who can post links to some pix after today's storm? Put things in perspective for DS . . .

They're getting hit with 1-2 FEET of snow near West Point...unfortunately this probably postpones the admissions board meeting.

Because the classes are so close to the barracks, I believe it is very rare to have a snow day. (But most cadets are on spring break)

It's not that the classes are so close to the barracks, but more that nearly all faculty and staff live on post. USNA's class buildings are right by Bancroft, but as they have a much higher percentage of civilian instructors, classes are more likely to be cancelled if there is no one there to teach them!

But the cadets are like

Probably would have been at least one snow day this time. The post is still "Code Red".

Current conditions about 20 minutes south of West Point...
Ugh, doesn't look like fun to me.
My sister sent pictures. We moved south about 9 years ago and I definitely do not miss weather!
It's pretty, from far, far, far away, lol. We live in Central Florida and tonight it'll get down into the 40's and with daytime in the low 60's. That's parka weather for us, lol.

I have family near Tampa and near Cocoa Beach so I know what you are saying...they don't do under 60 degrees well! We are in middle Tennessee so we have seasons and it is cold now, but never snow like New York. DD misses it for reasons of outdoor snow sports but I will enjoy in pictures only :)

Took some pictures today on my phone while walking the dog. Shots from Lee Rd toward Teophy Point. Too big to post and I can't figure out how to change the size on my phone.

It's heading toward 91 degrees here today. Our cadet is in his man cave avoiding the sun. Probably still sleeping. He arrived last Friday and we've seen him about five hours total. Oh well, it's just nice to know he's nearby.
