Odds of appointment if waiver granted?

Our DS submitted all of the lung function testing and physician's reports last week to DoDMERB as requested by the USMA in their waiver process to evaluate history of childhood asthma. Based on prior history of our DS, and the physician's experience with other candidates, he thinks our DS has a good shot of being granted a waiver. Our DS is academically and physically qualified, and has a congressional nomination. If the waiver is indeed granted, what are the odds of receiving an appointment? I realize every case is different, but does anyone know the stats?

You have to know where your DS ranks on his nomination slate to figure this out. If he is ranked #1, he would get an appointment. If he is ranked #2 and the #1 has not accepted, then it depends on that decision. If he does not win his slate, it would depend on where he sits on the NWL. The request for waiver means he is competitive on some slate but your RC is the only person that can tell you where you sit.

Thank you! We have been hoping for something like that. Keeping our fingers crossed and reaching out to Admissions and RC.
