I had almost given up all hope of getting in this year on my first try. I've been checking my status almost hourly and I just saw that I got Wait Listed! There was a link that took me to a FAQ page on the Wait List from the class of 2019 (a bit outdated), so I know a little bit about it. However, nothing was mentioned about NAPS or a foundation school. Does anybody have any more information about this? I'll make a deposit on my plan B now of course. Although I'm relieved to still be a possibility it's just my luck to have to keep waiting (as if the stress weren't already enough)!
My last question is about any addition letters of recommendations, honors, or accolades. It mentioned on the FAQ page that I could send in this recent information; has anyone ever been in this position? Will I be more likely to be pulled from the list if I do so?
Any information would greatly help!

NAPS has its own wait list. Every year there are a few dozen in this situation. Same advice to all.... secure Plan B, keep in shape and hope the phone rings. Sure send in more info, they say you can, so why not help your case. In the end you will know you did everything possible. Traditionally, USNA will cut this list to a shorter list in late April/ early May to an even shorter wait list depending on the yield rate.

Congrats on the waitlisted status. You are still in the hunt. My DS was waitlisted last year. He moved forward with making a deposit at Plan B school, went ahead and accepted his NROTC Marine Option scholarship and focused on getting excited about Plan B. I think the only thing he sent to his AC for his file was that he had been named a lacrosse captain. He was told by AC and BGO that he was not being considered for NAPS. His academics were too strong. He was on the waitlist until early June. I would avoid checking email during fun senior outings (senior class picnic). He received his final turndown email in the middle of the picnic. However, on a positive note, he was a successful reapplicant this year. Best of luck!
