Still Nothing?

As I have been following these forums since I decided I would like to attend West Point, I've noticed that almost everyone is receiving some type of correspondence from USMA regarding their admission status within the past few weeks. I have still seen nothing. No 3Q despite my thinking that I would be fully qualified, no appointment. No correspondence.

I feel as if I will be receiving the TWE soon, (as my resume, when stacked up against others, is not terribly impressive) but have still yet to receive it when many others have.

Is this normal? Has anyone else had this happen to them or their DS/DD? My apologies if something of this nature has already been asked, but I have not seen anything like my case thus far on the forums.

No news is technically better than bad news in this situation. If you haven't received your TWE at this point, you're 3Q'd. Other than that, you'll be waiting the long wait like everyone else on the NWL.

That's actually a really relieving thing to hear, I figured most everyone knew something by this point. Thank you. Interested to know if anyone else has ever been in this situation before.

Most candidates will get some correspondence, but it is not unusual to go quite awhile without hearing something - some RC's don't use the 3Q letter. As long as you don't have a TWE it means your WCS score is high enough that they can't rule out the possibility that you could receive an appointment. They have to balance the desire for a timely answer with the chance that they would have to go back and offer an appointment to someone whom they already sent a TWE.

If you haven't done so already, double check your portal to make sure you have all green checks. Also, make sure you know where to look for documents and correspondence on the portal. Sometimes people have difficulty finding the right location on the portal and then find a document that has been sitting there for days or weeks.

If you haven't heard anything after the long weekend, think about sending an email to your RC asking for feedback on your status.

I have definitely checked my portal to make sure all my checks are green and good to go. I do know where the correspondence and documents appear due to having lurked on these forums for months. Still nothing. I absolutely will email my RC after this weekend. Thank you!

First time replying . I have been on this forum faithfully since January. My DS had gone to last summer's SLE and was very competitive his R C kept saying. He has three nominations and high SAT and ACT scores not as athletic as some his R C was saying he would hear some good news soon, that was three months ago. Yesterday his portal was up dated and he got The TWE on his portal, he has not got it in the mail yet. But all is great he got a 4 year scholarship from ROTC and will be attending Furman University. He was disappointed for a day but he now knows his future plan. So I guess no news is good news. I wish you and all the others the best of
Everything. I do have to say I have aged through this process, but it was a great ride. So proud of you all

Thank you so much! It's sad to hear your son didn't make it in, but having a 4 yr ROTC scholarship is an honor not many get to have. I have one myself, so even if USMA sends me the TWE, I'm still quite blessed and happy with what I have.

My DS got his 3Q letter back in early March. Then got a phone call from his RC a day or so later stating that he'd most likely not get an appointment (very competitive CD) but was offered an AOG scholarship. That was the last we have heard. No updates on the portal or TWE. Patience is truly a virtue.

#3 is still in Italy on the school trip--so he is like Shrodinger's Candidate: he could have an electronic TWE but we don't know or he could have received an appointment but we don't know. Nothing has arrived in the mail.
For some reason I think the USMA notification deadline is 1 May, but I am not sure where I read that. Anyone?
