So....my daughter has been waiting 3 weeks now for her medical waiver. She emailed the person working on it to make sure that he had all of the documentation that he needed and he didn't even email her back. Meanwhile, the admissions officer called to see if she is going to accept her appointment if the waiver goes through and then another officer called the next day to find out what was going on?!!! I am thinking she should email or call the admissions officer back and ask him to check into it if we haven't heard anything by Monday at the end of the day. It is getting later and later....scary. Advice?

LTJG McIntyre-Coble is our [Admissions] liaison to DoDMERB and CGA Medical Administration, so he should be able to update your daughter on the status of her medical waiver request; however, your daughter should anticipate that his update may be simply that the Chief Medical Officer is reviewing her record and we'll notify her when a decision has been made. The Admissions Officers are operating independently of the medical qualification/wavier processes and presently contacting all conditional appointees to ensure they're still planning to accept once their conditional appointments become full appointments. You'd be surprised (or maybe disappointed is a better word) to know how many are not interested in continuing to work on medical remedials or pursue medical waivers past May 1st, but never share that fact with us until we call/contact them.

She should follow up with LTJG McIntyre-Coble on the status of her medical waiver and let her Admissions Officer know that she's planning to accept if a medical waiver is granted between now and May 15th.
