The questions remains. I'd like to know who out there has received a waiver for ADD/ADHD. My experience has proved rigid and inflexible.

An FYI....Mr Mullen is the Deputy Director of DODMERB. HE will know the reasons, have the answers, and is INCREDIBLY open and willing to "share" with you!

Yes, the question was simple. Yes, the answer is waivers have been granted for applicants carrying the label of ADHD. Yes, waivers have been denied for applicants carrying the label of ADHD.
As I have stated in the past, it would be ill-advised for anyone to come on the Forums and ask about waivers for "condition X" (whatever illness, injury, disease, defect, etc). Reason? Every "condition" has varying degrees of frequency, severity, effect on functioning, prognosis (if, applicable, how the condition will progress), etc.
So, 2 things:
1. Individual are granted or denied waivers because of a risk assessment rendered by the waiver authority for the reasons above AND other factors important to that individual, that Academy/ROTC program, and that Service. A waiver may be granted for one Service and not another for the same applicant and sometimes within the same Service.
2. Waiver consideration is applied on a case-by-case basis; not on a label (condition X). While some waivers have been granted for this condition or that, waivers are also denied for this condition or that.
I just didn't want folks to have a false impression about waivers.
