Hi, real quick CFA question here.

If I finish the max number of, say, pushups before the end of the 2 minutes, to I get however much time I have left in the two minutes plus the additional minute of rest? Or does the minute rest immediately start when I stop?

Similarly, would I get extra time if I ended early, as in, I couldn't get past 60 pushups so I had to stop but there was 30 seconds left?

Thanks!

You have a 5 minute window in which to do each two minute event, so if you do one minute thirty seconds worth of push-ups, you have 3:30 rest until the next event. Also, you don't need to start an event right when the five minutes for that event begins, you just need to make sure the two minute attempt occurs somewhere in that window. Make sense?

Be prepared to upload a video of your pullups / pushups if you get max or close to max on CFA.

They will have a look to see if you are using proper form etc; there have been folks on R day who couldn't come close to their CFA scores . . .

DS had to do this for both events; in his case no issues.

I'm taking it at SLE so I dont think this should be a problem, but if I take if after, I'll be sure to video it. Thanks!

Didn't matter this year where you took it, they seemed to call out people regardless of where they tested. DS did well, lot of push-ups (can't remember how many, not max)and maxed pull-ups at NASS and had to submit both videos.
Train hard , do well and you may still get to be a movie star in your own video!

They video tape at SLE CFA?

No, they didn't video at any of the SS.
The videos were requested much later for him and others to take a separate video of each of two events, pull-ups and push-ups, then upload them to his portal.
We spoke with his RC at the Academy day event in the September and asked him if DS would be required to do it at some point, and he said there were some being asked to do it just to verify form and it's no big deal, but doubtful he would have to.
DS was notified in November to submit videos.

I understand they may need to verify form for some CFA that are given by a PE teacher etc.., but if you take it at SS I would hope they can verify form! DS did almost the same scores except pull-ups. I had him do it three times in a row before I finally got a good video without cutting off part of him! I felt terrible, but he did it!
