Hello!

On the I-Day schedule of events it states that at:
'1830 - Incoming class meets with parents in designated areas.....'

Can anyone tell me if this area is designated for us and communicated TO parents and Plebes, and if so when we will be notified of this. Or is this an area the parents designate on their own with their Plebe prior to them reporting.

Thank you!

In Stribling Walk they will have signs with the letter of your plebe's last name as a meeting spot, but you can also make your own.

Agree on finding your own spot. It's crazy at the letters. Pick a random tree or spot before heading to Alumni.

We were on The Yard the night b4 IDay and designated the third bench on the left from the Tecumseh statue. I also had a neon yellow head band. It was tacky looking but was easy to find

Awesome, Thanks for the replies! We are on our way to USNA right now and based on replies plan to walk to The Yard the night before as well! We are all excited!

It is surprising how difficult it is to find your Plebe that first time among the wave of white, and fresh haircuts don't help. Picking a spot in advance makes sense. Also, you've probably read this already, but bring something for your Plebe to sit on. They will be afraid of grass stains. Also bring a drink and snack. They may not want it, but better to have both in case.

Be strong and be prepared for anything; by the time you see your Plebe they have been through a lot. Around us we saw laughter, dear-in-the-headlights, tears and just about everything else. It can be a rough day for everyone. It sure was for us and now this year my DD is a detailer.

Thank you!! Maybe our DS will have your DD as a detailer!! Congratulations to your DS and your family!
