Has anybody used the Sandboxx app for sending letters?

I live in TX so US Mail takes a week to arrive to WP.
Looks like this app may get it there in a day or two.
Costs more but for time sensitive communication might be a good resource.

I know the Marine vet who started it - great guy, he and his team have built this as a start-up from concept to thriving business. They have received recognition from various military groups. One of the cool things about it is the ability to affiliate with groups or units within the app. Great for those who prefer to email but let Sandboxx turn it into a USPS letter in hand, handy for deployments, boot camps, etc., where access to personal comm devices is zero or limited.

I think there is also a no-cost option offered by a non-profit, but I can't recall the name.

Thanks. I used it today for the first time and it couldn't have been easier to use.
Great app !!!

I'm spreading the word on Facebook parents groups. Love that it was started by a vet.

My son is in Afghanistan now- does anyone have any experience with using this to send to Deployed Soldiers? It looks good but is it significantly faster than snailmail to the APO?

Hi, bruno, I know several of our former USNA sponsor mids who have used it to send email>USPS paper mail>APO/FPO>recipients' hands on deployed ships. Suits their usual comms methods.

Speed should be the same, allowing for various points of origin to the APO/FPO. It's ideal for those who don't regularly write actual letters with a pen, have stationery and stamps handy, perhaps don't have a printed photo to hand - with this app, they can whip out a letter in the app, add in a pic, and the app converts it.

Thanks- I gave it a try last night- so we'll see if it is worth the $3

I use it. I just bought the 60 letter package. My DD is now a new cadet at West Point and I figure that this is the only way she would get any contact from me. It's very easy, which is good because I'm lazy and have terrible penmanship.
I may not use all 60 letters but I'll give it a try. My letters to her are only very short and I have included a picture with every one of them.

Short answer is...yes I'd buy this again!
