Question for the ones who already did this. WP is asking a recommendation letter from a PE teacher, but my DD school has not have a PE teacher (small school), just Coaches, and an Athletic Director, so does anybody submit the Coach letter instead of the PE teacher ?, she ask her FFR but he did not answer yet....anyone?

I am curious too bc DS also does not have PE in school. One of the academic deans at school is a certified PE teacher so she has agreed to administer the CFA. Can DS also submit her email for the PE evaluation piece?

I was in the same situation and was able to use my athletic director

Hi, please let me know if you apply to West Point as well, because we have an Athletic Director and that will be great to know if we can use his recommendation instead.
Did you apply to WP?, who told you Athletic Director is ok and will work instead. Thank you for any answer.

You could go to A neighboring high school and have a PE teacher administer the test. Go through the principal... when they ask, things happen.

I'm pretty sure active duty NCOs can administer the CFA as well. Maybe call your local army recruiter and see if he'd be willing to administer it.

Yes I applied, and a liaison officer told me that an athletic director is okay to use if all other options don't work. I would still contact someone of you wanted to double check.

For the SOE it is best to check with your RC if you are not using a PE teacher or one of the authorized substitutes explicitly mentioned in the instructions.

Somebody there that use his/her Athletic Director instead of PE teacher, for the recommendation letter part?, thanks.

Update:
Just spoke with an Admissions Officer from our Region.
She tells me if PE teacher is not available at the school , or her Coach (not longer work there either), the Athletic Director can do this SOE.

Thx Wondermom! My follow up question to that is DS science teacher is the Athletic Director...so does he submit for both areas bc he wears both hats?

I will suggest to call as I did so you will have the answer direct from an admissions Officer.

make sure you dot every I exactly as told by the RC, not the FFC. DS had all green lights for 2 months on his portal, and at the January review the RC noted that an SOE was not done by the proper school official. That sidelined his application by 3 weeks in January. which was not fun. Again, Exactly as told by the RC.

I was told a coach is acceptable. It has to be one you are not using in another category.

Be sure that information comes from admissions - using a coach is a deviation from past years unless an exception is approved. Your RC is your best source.

Agree with jl123.
My understanding is that the coach is usually also a certified PE teacher at a school....not necessarily yours.

In addition, MANY PE teachers are not very familiar with the CFA. My DS used a high school PE teacher and had to help her understand the CFA rules. In retrospect, it would have been actually EASIER to use the JROTC instructor instead.
