What do you think my odds are of getting an AROTC Scholarship?

I know that these threads are super common and aren't the most exciting but I have seen some people get good feedback on what areas need improvement. I included literally everything I could possibly think of putting on an application so if anything doesn't seem like it should be on here let me know. I just didn't want to forget anything or leave something out that might make my application stand out a little more. Sorry in advance about all the text and explanations regarding a lot of stuff on here.

Senior in high school (Class of 2018)
3.5 unweighted GPA
1340 new SAT (Taking it again Saturday with essay this time)
Class rank 106/405
Completed multiple honors classes. Currently enrolled in Honors, Dual Enrollment and AP courses. I need only 3 more credits to graduate with an advanced studies diploma all of which I will
be taking the classes for this school year.

Technology Student Association chapter Treasurer (15-16) and chapter Vice president (16-17). Competed at regional and state level both years and plan compete to this year.

I was in marching band my freshman and sophomore year. I don't know if it is worth including because I did not hold any leadership positions.

I have done JROTC since sophomore year and have held multiple different positions within my school's program. This school year I will be a company commander all year round. On Sept. 29th I will be getting promoted to the rank of c/CPT and will also be receiving lots of other awards (Mostly from JCLC Eagle because that was a summer camp for JROTC). This will be my first year on the raider team and I will be going out for armed exhibition, step team and drill team this year. There is a whole bunch of other stuff related to JROTC that I have yet to add to my application because I need to get the list of awards and ribbons I have earned so I can include them (Mostly things like parades, teams, hiking and various camps).

Run concession stand during JV and Varsity football games.

I am currently employed at Burger King and regularly babysit children under 10 years old for 10+ hours at a time.

AFPT (not my official scores but these are the results from the last time I did the MAFPT)
1 min pushups 74
1 min sit ups 68
The MAFPT is only a 1 mile run but the AFPT requires a 2 mile run. My 1 mile time is a pretty slow 7:30~ so my 2 mile time is likely to be a bit over double that time.

I've never had any disciplinary issues since 7th grade when I got detention for being late to a class multiple days in a row. I also have no criminal record.

My essays are all still in progress (I am having family members who are much better writers than I help me put my thoughts into words.) and my 3rd essay will be almost entirely about my involvement in JROTC as just talking about what jobs I've held and what I have done doesn't nearly give the amount of work I have put into that program justice.

I'm not sure about how I might do on the interview if/when that time comes so I am going to make it a point to practice interviews in the time leading up to that.

Tommorow (actually today because it's past midnight and I can't sleep) morning I am going up to George Mason University with my grandparents to speak with one of the ROTC people and ask a few other questions.

I'll only say that anything worthwhile that you did is worthwhile including in your application. This includes band. Be prepared to expand on what you actually did when "running" concessions, especially if it shows leadership. You should always be trying to improve every aspect of your application to the best of your ability... keeping in mind that it's quality, not quantity.

If you did 74 push ups in one minute you were doing them wrong.
Look on Youtube, lot's of videos showing the proper technique.
Good GPA+ good SAT + good PFT = good chance

OP, all looks good. Is it too late to get a sport in? Try your best to get your class ranking up, Ideally to top 10%. Apply ASAP. Don't be disappointed if you do not get selected the first round as those typically go to the "cream of the crop" in terms of stats. Do your best and have fun in your senior year!

Bringing back the old cliches.

1. You have 0% chance if you do not apply.
2. Nobody here sits on the board. If any do, they are not going to say it publicly.
3. It will depend on the pool size (candidates) and the amount of funds they will have set aside for FY18.
~Fiscal years run Oct 1st to Sept 30th. Lots of candidates and little money reduces your chances and vise a verse. The military has a budget and it can change annually for ROTC depending on various reasons, personnel needs is one of them for 5 years from now is one of them, yes they plan out that far.
4. Choose schools you can afford to attend without a scholarship

The thing is this is going to be months and months of waiting. My opinion and with $2.07 you can get a small coffee, you have a good shot, but some schools are powerhouses and fill up quickly. You look like you are a match for GMU admissions, but I don't know if you are IS or OOS. GMU is a state college, and only take @25% from OOS. If I recall correctly, GMU ROTC cadets go to UMDCP, for LLAB. I know at least AFROTC does, and seeing as AROTC is even larger than the AFROTC det (200 cadets), I am just going to assume that is true for AROTC too.
~ I only point this out because if you have to go over to UMDCP for PT or LLAB, and are not from No VA, please realize you are not talking a 15 min car ride.

Ask a lot of questions when you meet with the ROTC Battalion. This is your opportunity to get detailed information about what ROTC is like, what it's like after you commission, and what to expect from ROTC and what ROTC will expect from you.

Bring a copy of your resume and ask them for advice on how to present yourself in your application.

I'll definitely look into improving my form before I get officially graded because the last thing I want is to do them wrong and have them not counted.

Don't wait until then. If you do, your muscles will not be used to the difference and you may under-perform. Address form first, and then address working up the numbers.
