DoDMERB Remedial for Eczema

Hello,

Just got a remedial requested for eczema that I haven't had seriously since 12. I have read on this forum that you should not say that you have a condition unless you have been diagnosed with it by a doctor:

On the remedial, it asks, "Have you ever been diagnosed with a chronic or recurring skin condition, and who diagnosed you (i.e. self, parent, doctor, etc..)"

In this case, do I say "no", because I have not been diagnosed by a professional, or do I say "self" even if I have never been diagnosed?

Also, they used the words "chronic" and "recurring" in the question. If I no longer have it, do I still have to answer the question?

Lastly, if I have a bout of EXTREMELY MILD eczema about once a month, and that I usually use a cream and it goes away overnight, will that be disqualifying? Does DodMERB allow people who require occasional medication, or will I not be allowed to use medication at all?

Thank you.

My DS is in similar situation. I'd say answer honestly. If you answer "yes" then most likely they will DQ you. If you answer "No" then they will ask for your medical history

And if DQ'ed but found qualified by USNA, they will request a waiver for me, right?

How common are waivers among competitive applicants?

If this is occurring then I would say you have a self-diagnosed chronic condition. It may or may not be eczema. YMMV.
