Good day everyone,

My name is Jason and I'm currently a senior at my highschool. I received an e-mail from the USAFA inviting me to their FVE or Falcon Visitation Experience. I replied today saying I'm interested in attending but it's been two days since the e-mail was sent. Am I too late? More importantly what does this mean?

Have some patience, you'll probably receive a reply after a week or so. My DS attended FVE and it was a great opportunity. They pay for your airfare to this and you spend a few days actually rooming with cadets and shadowing them around. They have various other activities as well.

I got invited too! I responded right away and the Lt that sent me the email said she put my name down. However, the email says you have to wait a few weeks before they confirm that you're going because there are a lot of people invited. Did you go to summer seminar?

My understanding was you are not 'qualified' to attend a FVE if you have attending the Summer Seminar program. At least that is what it says on the 'nomination' form. The program is also not open to recruited athletes.

I read that on an old forum post from about 2015. I went to summer seminar and I was invited, which is why I was a little confused.

The nomination form I received to nominate candidates for the program said it didn't apply to recruited athletes (potential NCAA issues) or people that had attended summer seminar. But not surprised that exceptions get made
