I originally posted this in the DoDMERB Forum and have yet to receive a reply, so I figured I'd post it here as well:

Currently, my vision in my left eye is 20/60 and in my right eye 20/20. However, in my left eye, I also suffer from amblyopia. Regardless, I understand that for West Point, your vision must be corrected to 20/20, which is not the case for my left eye. How often do they hand out waivers in cases like my own? I am a competitive candidate who has already received a LoE; should hear about my nominations soon.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I saw your post on the other page and sorry to say that There is no one here that can give you a good answer. They hand out tons of waivers for people who are correctable to 20/20 but none of us can tell you about other issues. You could ask your RC for an opinion.

Thank you for your reply. I'll certainly get in touch with my RC.
