NAVY Football Team uniforms for ARMY-NAVY GAME

Nothing against the Blue Angels, but I would have thought USNA would be more inclined to use such a special public honor on one of the fighting units instead of a group which is essentially an ambassador. But, no matter; Army will be wearing some tough looking unis, probably with some dirty black shoes, jock straps which havent been washed since we beat Navy last year, and will be wearing a mean looking scowl on their faces when we win again next week.

GO ARMY!! BEAT NAVY!!

I'm not a huge fan of fancy special uniforms. CGA has a different jersey every game. No need for tribute jerseys. Just play the game and try to win. Pick a jersey, stick with it, and make it a classic.

I am with you LITS (by the way, I miss your frequent posts!).

As a Notre Dame grad, I cringe every time they roll out a new "special occasion" uniform. Maybe they should try executing game plans that win games instead. (old grad stepping off soap box and moving to the Lazy Boy recliner)

Every time I go back to CGA they have some throwback jersey that maybe 10 people recognize.... "Oh wow.... those 1952 jerseys...." (I just made up that description).... and I have to spend five minutes figuring out which team is CGA.

It's just a busy time of the year for me... work, family, travel, dentist appointments, etc. I think this is the slow part of the SAF season too.

I don’t mind the special uniforms for the Army Navy game. They have done these for awhile now and the players will wear a patch for a unit they want to represent. Sometimes it’s a unit they served with in the summer, a former player’s current unit, a buddy in a unit, or even just because they think the patch is cool. They have done a variety of uniforms over the years to incldie a Marine Dress Blue version, Choker whites and everything in between. Be interesting to see what team shows up for Navy. They seem to have a split personality this year.

I saw a Coast Guard cutter patch last year.

I hope its the kind and gentle Dr Jekyll, and not the nasty Mr Hyde. Just send the same Navy team you sent last year. Everyone around me in the stadium seemed to have fun, and left with smiles. And isn't that what its all about?:D :tank:

I've been to two Army/Navy games and it was fun, I agree (I wore Coast Guard Academy stuff).

The “Helm Yeah” add is earthy. I think that a word play on fowl language represents poor character and poor leadership.
