Anaphylactic Waiver

I apologize if this is the wrong place for this thread, as I am new to this forum.
I wanted to get some information/first hand accounts about getting a waiver for an allergy. I've seen a lot of posts about food allergies- but none about my situation. I have a history of allergies to ants. I have not had the need for medical attention or an epi-pen since I was around age 12 (I am 21 now). I can see why allergies could be an issue when it pertains to food, but what about an insect allergy like mine that is far into my past and would be unlikely to happen accidentally? What are my options for getting this waived in order to join the navy? Is this something that I could do, or is it impossible? If it IS possible, what do you recommend for starting this process? Has anyone here ever had something like this waived or know anyone that has?

Are you seeking to be a commissioned Naval officer (DoDMERB)? Or are you planning to enlist as a sailor and are inquiring about MEPS?

MEPS as Enlisted. Is there a better place for this thread?

Go to www.navycs.com and try to search for your answers there. You could also ask the doctor that will answer your questions online. I have asked some there but that was when I was inquiring about going Navy enlisted. I have changed to commission in the Air Force.

Not really. This forum is focused completely on commissioning, not enlisting. However, you may get some helpful suggestions here in DoDMERB.
