How will we find out if we are accepted or not?

Everything is completed in my portal but I just wanted to figure out when we will be notified and how we will be notified. Will the portal update saying if we have been accepted or not? Will we receive a letter in the mail? Just want to make sure I am not missing anything!

The academy gives the first opportunity to the MOC to give you the news. The MOC is typically contacted on a Tuesday. The BFE is typically mailed that Friday and the portal updated with the offer that weekend.

Sometimes the moc does not call, mine didn’t, and you will find out through the BFE coming in the mail. Typically at this stage, West Point does not reject you, if you received a nomination but are not in the top slot, you will be placed on the National Waiting List. From this point it’s a waiting game. My field force officer told me of candidates including her husband who were appointed a week before Rday.

Well.. it's good to hear at this stage WP usually does't reject people. Hopefully I am competitive enough to where I won't have to wait that long. I will continue to wait and see!

MOC is "Member of Congress" BFE is "Big Fat Envelope," or the "acceptance" letter... At the top left of the screen there is an acronym list to help you.

I just applied to the SLE so I'm not too familiar with these. But thank you!!! Now I know

Have you done any research on the admission's process? There are a million threads tat explain it. We are just starting the appointment cycle and we still have 3-4 months of activity before everything is completed.
